Michael Fraser, Artel's vice president of strategy and business development.

Artel, LLC, announced today that it has appointed Michael Fraser, vice president of strategy and business development. In this role, Fraser will shape the strategies and lead all front-end capture activities and operations to deliver long-term business growth.

  Fraser joins Artel from iDirect Government Technologies, where he held the position of executive vice president, responsible for their Satellite Communications Products and Services business. Previously, Fraser was the president of the Security Solutions Division/National Security Division of USIS, an Altegrity Company. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of the Surveillance & Reconnaissance Systems business of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems Division. Fraser has also held a variety of leadership positions with Veridian Inc., Sytel Inc., and Trident Data Systems. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel in 1993.

  Fraser received his master of science degree in systems management from the University of Southern California. He received his bachelor of arts degree in business management from the University of Laverne.
