The iNetVu SolarPack developed by C-COM has been designed to operate continuously for as many as 5 days (8 hours a day) before requiring recharge. The battery in the SolarPack can be recharged through the use of flexible solar panels, which can be rolled up for easy storage and transportation, as well as from external AC or DC power sources. The SolarPack is easily scalable to produce additional power by adding extra solar panels as well as additional batteries and will also be marketed worldwide for general purpose use. “A great number of our customers are located in remote areas of the world where there is no electricity, or when it is available it is of poor quality or inconsistent. What most of these locations have are many hours of sunshine each day. The easily portable iNetVu SolarPack will provide our customers in these locations the ability to operate their Flyaway antenna systems with a steady source of sun generated electricity and make it also possible to deploy them unattended for long periods of time” said Leslie Klein, President and CEO of C-COM Satellite Systems Inc.
