...has shipped its new SAT-DSP-6000, which provides 250MHz of Instantaneous Bandwidth and an extended L-band input frequency range of 900MHz to 2450MHz, allowing for much faster measurements of entire transponders. The need for more bandwidth is growing, driven in part by increasing use of new Ka-band satellite systems. These Ka-band systems provide transmission of carrier bandwidths exceeding 200MHz, requiring monitoring equipment that is capable of maintaining or improving existing measurement speeds. The SAT-DSP-6000, when integrated with SAT Corporation's Monics® or SAT-DSA® carrier monitoring and interference detection software products, performs carrier-under-carrier analysis at the same levels customers have come to rely upon from SAT's existing Digital Signal Processors (DSP), including the SAT-DSP-5000, in partnership with RT Logic.
The SAT-DSP-6000 can be added into existing Monics or SAT-DSA systems alongside other SAT DSP and SAT-controlled spectrum analyzers. This alleviates the restrictions of a highly proprietary "single box" carrier monitoring system and enables customers to efficiently grow their systems as technology and business needs require.
