ATEME(TM) SA offers MPEG-4/H.264 video compression technology and the Company has signed a contract with EADS for the supply of video solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). ATEME has adapted its MPEG-4 video compression for use by the EADS Tracker UAV as part of the largest close-range UAV deployment program in Europe. ATEME's MPEG-4 video compression technology provides high quality video over wireless links, allowing the operator to collect, visualize, and exploit real time images, day and night, at distances of up to 10 km. The Tracker UAV includes interchangeable and gyrostabilizer equipped infra-red cameras and a wireless link to a portable multifunctional base station. The system is designed to be easy to set up on the field and to fit in a portable back pack type carrier unit.
