Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) officially opened its new Tampa office last Friday in support of its customers within the U.S. Department of Defense and national intelligence programs in the region. Senior Harris representatives commemorated the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by customers and partners. "This facility demonstrates Harris’ commitment and long-term dedication to our customers in the Tampa region and support to our military around the globe," said Dan Pearson, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Harris Corporation. "This investment will better enable Harris to integrate and deliver innovative products and services from across the corporation in solutions tailored to our customers’ needs."

The Harris Tampa office will support U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, and the U.S. Joint Forces Command’s Joint Communications Support Element.
