Revenue for the quarter was $41.8 million, up $5.9 million or 16.5% from the third quarter of fiscal 2007. • Juniper Networks logo Moving On Up... At Juniper Networks... — Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) has named Microsoft veteran Kevin Johnson as chief executive officer. Upon his arrival in September, Mr. Johnson will also be appointed to the board of directors. The company also announced today that Scott Kriens will continue as chairman of the board and will remain active in the areas of strategy and leadership development. Mr. Johnson joins Juniper Networks from Microsoft Corporation, where he served in a range of strategic executive assignments over the course of his 16-year tenure, most recently as president of the Platforms and Services Division. This is a significant loss for Microsoft, by the way, where Johnson was believed to be, by many, to be the strongest candidate for moving into the current CEO Steve Ballmer's shoes when the top job becomes available.
