The Space Foundation has announced a new Contributing Memberr — Iridium Communications Inc., a global mobile satellite communications company. Iridium serves commercial markets through a worldwide network of distributors, and provides services to the U.S. Department of Defense and other U.S. and international government agencies. The addition to Iridium brings the number of Space Foundation corporate member companies to 113. "Corporate membership with the Space Foundation places companies in the presence of industry giants and successful, growing companies in the space industry, strengthening name recognition, increasing brand awareness and gaining enhanced visibility," said Elizabeth Wagner, Space Foundation senior vice president of strategic partnerships.
