Spacenet Speeds Into Michael Waltrip Racing

Orbital Enterprises banner Spacenet Inc has announced the Company's high-performance Connexstar satellite communications services have been deployed to support Command Center Trailers for Michael Waltrip Racing, a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series racing organization.

The system was deployed by Spacenet channel partner, Orbital Enterprises, a provider of fixed and mobile satellite communications systems. Michael Waltrip Racing requires reliable communications services for its Command Center Trailers supporting teams at the NASCAR races. The trailers serve as a key communications outlet during the races, providing the latest race information and weather updates across multiple work stations and flat screen monitors. Michael Waltrip Racing is using Spacenet’s Connexstar Performance series for transportable satellite services to support high-speed data in the trailers, including critical data transport between the command center and its engineering teams in Charlotte, North Carolina. Orbital Enterprises designed the system for the Command Center Trailers using a transportable auto-acquire antenna.
