“This new product underscores the strong ties Orbit has established with its customers,” says Avi Cohen, Orbit’s President & CEO. “We are always working towards providing cutting-edge solutions which best meet the specific requirements of their air force platforms. AMSIP marks Orbit’s entry into a larger, more substantial strategic market, and we look forward with confidence to additional implementations in the future.”
AMSIP is a fully digital, secure, audio management system with IP interface, which enables the flight crew to select and control all onboard communications systems and devices. The system provides the focal junction for inbound and outbound communications, including radio, public announcement systems, warning systems, and crew intercom communications.
AMSIP offers seamless transition capability, co-existence between the legacy TDM network and the IP based network, and the integration of dedicated IP terminals (i.e., standard laptops, IP phones, etc.).
The system’s extensive list of features includes multilayer redundancy; voice support; video, data and fax over IP; enhanced echo cancellation; SIP protocol support; VOX capability; radio relay and switching; external crypto equipment support; compensation for Dynamic Jitter delay; and, NVG compatibility. PC LOAD, a user-friendly software tool, enables the technical team to easily configure and monitor various operational parameters.
Orbit’s AMSIP, together with its Wireless Extension System, designed to serve ground maintenance teams, are two of the company’s latest audio communication systems offerings.
