The Company has also introduced a new addition to its family of Detector Log Video Amplifiers (DLVA) — the FBLA-2/6-50 ultra-broadband unit, which operates in the 2 to 6 GHz range, is a low noise, high dynamic range amplifier that utilizes improved sensitivity. The Kovar housing is hermetically sealed and also fully EMI shielded. Total weight is approximately 20 grams and dimensions are 1.63-inches x 1.25-inches x 1.5-inches, without SMA connectors. The unit features a fast rise time and a logarithmic linearity of ±1 dB maximum at center frequency at 25ºC. Dynamic range is 50 dB and with the addition of a MITEQ LNA, the input power level can be extended down to –70 dBm. The unit has a logging slope of 50 mV/dB at center frequency at 25ºC. The DC offset drift is ±50 mV typical over the operating temperature of –40 to +85ºC. Power is +8 VDC at 100 mA typical, -8 VDC at 30 mA typical. The DLVA offers a broad operational frequency range, excellent temperature stability and exceptional log conformance. The SMA connectors are removable on the RF input and video output connectors.
New to Miteq's family of LNAs is the AFS4-00102650-35-10P-4, a very low noise, lightweight amplifier with a small profile and footprint. The Kovar housing is a hermetically sealed package. This unit has a low noise figure of 3.5 dB. Input and output port VSWR is a maximum of 2.5:1. Small-signal gain is 28 dB minimum and flatness is ±2.5 dB maximum. Power is P1dB +10 dBm minimum. The AFS4-00102650-35-10P-4 comes with various options such as bandwidths, croygenic models, input limiter, input/output DC block, bias thru output and MITEQ 883 screening. Operating temperature is at –54 to +85ºC case. RoHS compliant.
