[SatNews] Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) has announced that its Orlando, Florida-based subsidiary, Comtech Systems, Inc., recently received an order for $1.2 million from a Canadian Public Utility to upgrade its existing over-the-horizon microwave communications systems with Comtech’s state-of-the-art CS67200i digital troposcatter modem.
Comtech was selected for this project due to its long history as a world leader in troposcatter equipment and systems, particularly its high data rate, field-proven troposcatter digital modems. The upgraded systems will enable a data rate of up to 22Mbps of low-latency communications between hydroelectric power stations.
