[SatNews] The Company's space operations in Colorado now has a new Chief Engineer.

ABSL Power Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Troutman as Chief Engineer of the Colorado space operation. He has more than 20 years of experience working on spacecraft power systems at major primes including Lockheed Martin and ATK Space Systems. Specifically on batteries, Joe has been involved in or managed a number of Lithium-ion space battery projects such as work on a high voltage battery system for a safety critical manned space application. More recently, Joe has personal experience working with ABSL as the customer representative for ATK Space Systems on the Lithium-ion battery for the Air Force Research Laboratory ORS-Sat1 spacecraft. Joe has a degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a minor in Mathematics. Over his career, in addition to space power projects, he has provided key advances in technologies for wave energy generation. Joe has developed technologies enabling control of Lithium-ion battery systems and has provided lecturing and mentoring at Princeton University in the area of space power. Joe will serve as a bridge between management, engineering and marketing and sales, providing input on future product development, project issues and proposals.
