Astrium, SES ASTRA + ND SatCom... Financially Speaking...


[SatNews] The purchase of a majority stake has been completed by SES ASTRA.

SES ASTRA, an SES company (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG), and Astrium, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EADS (Euronext Paris: EAD), have now confirmed that the purchase of a 75.1 percent stake by the latter in the satellite equipment provider and ground system integrator ND SatCom, based in Friedrichshafen, Germany, has been completed. SES ASTRA remains a minority shareholder with 24.9 per cent. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. SES ASTRA had acquired a first 10 per cent stake in ND SatCom in December of 2000 and increased this stake to 25 per cent in April of 2005 and to 100 per cent in May of 2006. The sale of a majority stake to Astrium was announced on October 22, 2010.
