Monitoring and control specialist, Colem, has launched its latest media network control system, BroadcastNMS. The latest in Colem’s range of NMS products, BroadcastNMS is an effective Service Reception, Switching & Management system for News & Media Ingest, which can simplify any news operation. This is the first of a range of products handling Media, file handling for Editing, Transmission & Reception, Scheduling and Bandwidth Management. The key feature of BroadcastNMS is the fact it is user-configurable, meaning it can be maintained by the user, avoiding expensive and time-consuming call-outs for new configurations. BroadcastNMS allows operators to add, edit, delete, and move devices, essentially building their own system. It also makes that process extremely simple, therefore the risk of error is minimized. “Our focus with this latest product has been giving our clients a system they can control themselves,” commented Tom Blake, Product Architect, Colem. “It will help improve efficiency, as rather than calling us out for a simple re-configure, they can do it instantly themselves, giving them the flexibility to change configuration as often as they need.” Colem will be demonstrating BroadcastNMS at IBC.
