[SatNews] Available for iPhone, iPad and Android, Raytheon's VIIRS View provides mobile device users a look into the type of data meteorologists and climatologists use every day to track the weather and monitor Earth’s environment.
Based on data generated by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite aboard Suomi NPP, VIIRS View combines visible light imagery, low-light nighttime imagery and ocean chlorophyll concentration onto a full Earth globe, rotatable and zoomable on any location on the planet. A desktop version of the VIIRS View app, launched in February, has been downloaded more than 90,000 times.
Come and see the original, large format, VIIRS View interactive table top display at the Raytheon Booth #203 at the 30th Space Symposium, now being held at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Download the app by searching VIIRS View at the Google Play and Android stores, or by selecting any of the appropriate URLs...
