MEI Technologies—One More HoPS Award Announced (Business—Hosted Payloads)

[SatNews] MEI Technologies, Inc. (MEIT) has been awarded a contract under the Hosted Payload Solutions (HoPS) program, making the company eligible to compete under a $494.9 million indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Contracting Directorate.

The purpose of the multiple-awarded HoPS IDIQ contract is to provide a rapid and flexible means for the government to acquire hosting capabilities on commercial satellites for government payloads. The contract, with a five-year ordering period, is designed to create a pool of qualified vendors to meet the government's needs for various hosted payload missions. MEIT is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and has more than 20 years of experience supporting NASA and the Department of Defense and their space programs.

“Over the past two decades, MEIT has safely and successfully integrated more than 300 payloads,” said MEIT Chief Executive Officer David Cazes. “We are honored to use our expertise to support SMC’s HoPS program by providing the government with hosted payload needs.”
