Arianespace + SES... ASTRA 2F + GSAT-10 Have A Moving Experience (Launch)

[SatNews] SES S.A. (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) has announced that Arianespace has re-scheduled the launch...

...of its new satellite ASTRA 2F for September 28, 2012. The satellite will be launched into space from the European Space Centre in French Guiana on board an Ariane 5 ECA rocket between 23:28 p.m. and 00:05 a.m. (September 28-29, 2012 Central European Summer Time; 17.28 – 18.05 EDT on 28.9.12). This new launch date is also for the GSAT-10 satellite co-passenger.

ASTRA 2F was built by EADS Astrium in Toulouse using a Eurostar E3000 platform. The multi-mission satellite will be located at 28.2 degrees East and carry Ku- and Ka-band payloads for the delivery of high-performance DTH and next generation broadband services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The video broadcast of the launch will be available via ASTRA`s orbital position 19.2 degrees East, transponder 1.037, downlink frequency 11023.25 MHz, horizontal polarisation, symbol rate 22.0 MSym/s, FEC 5/6, service ID 5221, service name Astra 2F.
