[SatNews] On June 13, 2014, the Technical Center of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command, will present an Industry Day for Low Cost Responsive Launch Capability.
This event will be held at the Digital Theater in the Saturn V Hall, U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville, Alabama, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., CDT. The purpose of the Industry Day will be for the U.S. Army to provide an overview of its plans for the solicitation for a low cost responsive launch capability and to answer questions from industry related to these plans. The Industry Day will also afford an opportunity for industry interaction related to this topic. The USASMDC/ARSTRAT is partnered with other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations on a Joint Capability Technology Demonstration to develop technologies that will lead to a responsive, low cost, tactical launch capability for the military. USASMDC/ARSTRAT is contemplating soliciting one or more venders to design, develop, integrate, conduct ground testing, and execute at least one orbital flight demonstration of a low cost, responsive, tactical space launch vehicle.
