A Moving Experience For Tango Wave


[Satnews] Tango Wave is relocating to a new state-of-the-art design and manufacturing facility.

Tango Wave is a manufacturer of high-power, high-linearity outdoor unit (ODU) Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) and subsystems designed for Direct-To-Home (DTH), global up-linking, satellite news gathering (DSNG/SNG), broadcasting, voice/data, mobile up-linking and maritime applications.

Responding to the anticipation of future business opportunities in the high-power SATCOM uplink communications markets the facility will house the Company’s design, manufacturing, testing and QA operations for its TWTA-based power amplifiers and subassemblies. Tango Wave’s amplifier products cover Ku, DBS and Ka-band frequencies with power levels up to 1250 watts; including options for redundancy, power combining and block up-converters (BUCs). The state-of-the-art design, assembly, and test resources are used in the development and fabrication of the Company’s high-quality products. Tango Wave is committed to conducting operations and activities in a manner that protects the environment and conserves natural resources.

Tango Wave has a broad staff of experienced engineering talent; each engineer and designer specializing in technologies and technical skills to assure outstanding products. Advance simulation tools are utilized in the design of all products. Product qualification and acceptance testing is standard practice and includes temperature testing, vibration, shock and environmental stress screening. The engineering and procurement teams utilize the best of technology and resources available for the design and fabrication of the most modern satellite uplink power amplifiers available in the SATCOM market.

Tango Wave’s new facility is located at 320 Soquel Way, Sunnyvale, California — 94085 and is centrally located in the heart of Silicon Valley, close to major freeways, hotels and the San Jose International Airport.
