Having Several HTS Moments In London In December @ GVF/EMP Roundtable

[SatNews] The 22nd event in the GVF-EMP Oil & Gas Communications Conference Series drew to a highly successful close in Kuala Lumpur on November 20th, 2014.

Two-days of dynamic and informative dialogue were highly indicative of the importance of the oil and gas sector to the communications industries, of the centrality of satellite communications solutions to the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) environment, and of the increasingly evident importance of high throughput satellite (HTS) technology and services in energy resource exploitation.

The December London Roundtable will be the third annual event of its kind for Europe and will be sponsored by Intelsat, Inmarsat, Avanti, C-COM Satellite Systems, and Advantech Wireless. Organizations across the solutions provider and user communities have been invited to contribute to the event program, which will comprise an Opening Keynote Presentation by Stéphane Chenard, Senior Analyst, Euroconsult, to be followed by a series of interactive Roundtable/panel sessions.

A total of 115 delegates and speakers contributed to GVF Oil & Gas Communications South East Asia 2014: Evolving the ‘Big Data’ Digital Oilfield for Offshore & Deep Water, the seventh event in the series to focus on the South East Asian region of the energy vertical market. The Kuala Lumpur event was sponsored by Intelsat, SpeedCast, RigNet, Hermes Datacomms, MajuNusa and ScopeTel, and was supported by Petronas ICT, as well as by the Asia Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC).

Martin Jarrold, Chief of International Program Development with GVF, and chairman of the Kuala Lumpur conference, said, “Many of the conference presentations, and much of the following audience interaction, focused on HTS, which fully anticipated a wider HTS-related dialogue scheduled to take place in London on December 2nd & 3rd at the GVF High Throughput Satellites—London Roundtable 2014: The Game-Changer in Action event at the Strand Palace Hotel.” The London Roundtable/panel sessions will include:

For more information on the full conference program for the London Roundtable, please contact the Series organizers: martin.jarrold@gvf.org or paul.stahl@uk-emp.co.uk.
