MTN Communications + Pullmantur Cruises—Signed On For Sea Services (SATCOM)


[SatNews] MTN Communications (MTN) is renewing and extending its long-term relationship with Pullmantur Cruises, a Royal Caribbean International brand.

MTN will provide to the Pullmantur fleet an enhanced onboard suite of connectivity options for passengers and crew, along with an expansion of its broadband satellite services. Pullmantur has been an MTN customer since its founding 11 years ago in Spain. Pullmantur’s itineraries include the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South American cruises. Pullmantur tailors its vessel communications services to accommodate passenger and crew connectivity demands. Pullmantur will be updating the Wi-Fi infrastructure on its fleet. This enhancement will enable more existing and new MTN communication offerings ranging from specialized apps, enhanced Internet and social media access, and calling solutions.

Pullmantur has signed up for broadband communications, crew calling and Internet Café services through its contract renewal. Throughout the term of this extended agreement, MTN will continue to roll out new product offerings related to its next-generation network, known as MTN Nexus™.
