SSPI's new Northeast Chapter Board President, Paul Scardino.

SSPI is the satellite industry’s oldest and largest trade association for industry professionals and has local chapters worldwide that promote the Society’s mission and cater to the needs of its members in the regions.  The Northeast Chapter board will direct activities in the New York and surrounding regions through a series of networking events and activities that enable local member engagement with the mission of the Society and connection with professionals in the region.  The Northeast region of SSPI is diverse, with a concentration in broadcast media, new media and enterprise businesses.

He has been involved in the satellite communications field since 1988 and has been instrumental to Globecomm’s success since February 1997. Globecomm has been a corporate sponsor of SSPI for many years and believes in the organization's mission.

“I am honored to have been selected to preside over this strong and diverse board, which represents SSPI’s regional interests in this part of the USA," said Scardino, who added that SSPI's goal is to help make the satellite industry a better place to work and learn and to continue the chapter’s charter as well as work to extend SSPI’s international campaign, ‘Better Satellite World.’
