SpeedCast International Limited (ASX: SDA) and KT SAT, the only satellite service provider in Korea, have been awarded a new contract to provide global Ku-band maritime communications services for as many as 150 vessels—the service will be installed over the next 18 months.
Piers Cunningham, Vice President, Maritime Services, SpeedCast, informed interested parties that his company has been providing KT SAT customers with access to their global satellite telecommunications service network, offering an uninterrupted satellite coverage along major maritime routes and offshore regions, for over six years.
