India Preparing to Launch Radar Imaging Satellite, RISAT 2BR1, in Late May


India is planning to launch a radar imaging satellite —RISAT 2BR1 — on May 22 on one the organization's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) sources said on Tuesday on condition of anonymity.

The rocket to carry RISAT 2BR1 is designated as PSLV-C46 as per ISRO's numbering system and will blast off from India's Sriharikota launch location. Following this launch, the ISRO will then propel their Cartosat-3 cartography satellite.
