IABM... @ NAB 2012 With... (Event—SatBroadcasting™)


[SatNews] The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) has announced that the organization will host...

...the annual IABM Manufacturers' Forum and present a conference session on the current broadcast market during the 2012 NAB Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The Forum is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, in room N236, and the conference session will include a 7:30 a.m. breakfast and 8:00 a.m. meeting on Monday, April 16, in N239/241.

The IABM Manufacturers' Forum serves as a supply community forum measuring the pulse of the industry. All executives from the broadcasting equipment and services sector are invited and encouraged to attend this free session, during which IABM Director General Peter White will present the latest research findings and an exclusive pre-NAB end-user survey. An interview with Clyde Smith follows. Clyde is senior vice president of new technology at FOX Network Engineering and Operations and will provide a broadcaster's perspective on the challenges facing the industry.

On Monday April 16, the IABM conference session will provide members with current market intelligence as well as the IABM's exclusive pre-NAB end-user survey, presented by White. This will be followed by a panel session of senior industry executives debating the challenges facing the industry. The panelists are Avid CEO Gary Greenfield, Ensemble CEO David Wood, Harmonic CEO Patrick Harshman, Newtek CEO Jim Plant, and Telestream CEO Dan Castles.
