Technologies To Counter Interference Will Hold The Spotlight In London @ IRG + Inmarsat Event

[SatNews] The Satellite Interference Reduction Group (IRG), a leading organization working to reduce satellite frequency interference, has announced the launch of a Product Innovation Spotlight session at an upcoming workshop.

The Product Innovation Spotlight will give selected companies the opportunity to showcase their latest products and innovations that are aimed at reducing satellite interference. These sessions will be strictly time limited and free to all members, with a charge for non-members who wish to also present their information. The IRG workshop takes place at Inmarsat’s headquarters in London, on October 21st and 22nd and will focus on...

  • The evolution of the interference mitigation toolbox
  • The introduction of new concepts, such as using commercial interference initiatives that are being applied to the military environment
  • VSAT Interference from TDMA/Burst Mode Systems
  • Geolocation
  • The “spin-off” technology ideas that are being derived from the detection developments of Carrier ID

“There is a great deal of innovation happening within the satellite industry currently,” said IRG Executive Director, Martin Coleman. “Launching these sessions will enable attendees at our workshop to understand the latest technology available to help them tackle interference.”

“Interference is an issue that affects the entire industry,” said Inmarsat Director of Global Xpress User Terminal Development Mark Steel. “We are pleased to be hosting this important workshop, which we are certain will once again be filled with positive and interesting discussions, helping us, as an industry, to progress those initiatives further.”

Companies wishing to present as part of the Product Innovation Spotlight should email press@satirg.org with details of their product.
