UltiSat Responding Proactively to Customer Connectivity Demands Post Hurricanes Irma and Harvey

UltiSat, Inc. has been actively responding to increased demand from customers on the front lines of emergency response and disaster recovery efforts in the aftermath of hurricanes Irma and Harvey.

UltiSat’s customers are among the first on the scene of natural disasters. SATCOM networks that were designed to support steady state operations must be enhanced to support a much greater purpose.  UltiSat’s role is to expand those networks and provide additional satellite services to support mission critical operations where its Network Operations Center (NOC), engineering and program management staff have been actively involved since before Harvey made landfall, to assist with the staging and deployment of first response teams.

UltiSat remains in daily contact with its customers to implement network services and configuration changes as communications needs vary during the recovery effort, with surge support involvement likely to be required for some period of time.

David Bryant, UltiSat Vice President of Programs, stated that providing reliable communications is the least that the company can do to assist  customers on the front line to be successful in their critical mission to save lives.
