Business Development and Strategy Team at AsiaSat Now have a New VP


Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) has announced a promotion in the firm's business development and strategy team.

Lara Kwok, who joined AsiaSat in August of 2017 as Director of Business Development and Strategy, has been promoted to Vice President, Business Development and Strategy, following the retirement of Sabrina Cubbon after 25 years of significant contributions to AsiaSat. Lara brings 13 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, and in her new role, she will identify new business opportunities and drive strong strategic direction for business expansion and development of the company.

Prior to AsiaSat, she was employed by The Longreach Group between 2007 and 2015 as Principal of the Greater China investment team and before that held various positions in global investment banks in New York and Hong Kong. Lara holds a Master of Business Administration degree from MIT Sloan School of Management in the United States.

Regarding the promotion, Andrew Jordan, President and Chief Executive Officer of AsiaSat stated that he was pleased to see Lara take the helm of the company's business development and strategy team. Since joining only a few months ago, she has revitalized the strategy and business development of the company.
