Estonian Defense Evolution Energized By Bittium And TacComms Diversification 


Now all set to modernize the IP data transfer, develop the performance of the tactical data network, as well as diversify the wireless and wired connectivity of the entire TacComms system for the Estonian Defence Forces is Bittium.

This system is based on the Bittium Tactical Wireless IP Network™ (TAC WIN) system and also includes products from the Bittium Tough VoIP™ product family, including the Bittium Tough VoIP Service™ software product. The order contributes to a reform that aims to improve the Estonian Land Forces’ IP data transfer capability and availability, where Bittium’s TAC WIN system will be integrated to a bigger system entity.

Bittium Tough VoIP product family’s products will be used to upgrade the Land Forces’ IP voice service and, together with Bittium TAC WIN system, Bittium Tough VoIP Service software forms a solution that seamlessly integrates the tactical network and its voice services for leading the troops, even in the most demanding situations. In addition to the system delivery, Bittium will also manage integration work that will enable Bittium’s system, the systems already used by the Estonian Land Forces, and equipment to be acquired from third parties to be seamlessly incorporated to the same system entity.

The product deliveries specified in the purchase order will commence at the end of the year 2016.
