ViaLite Communication’s RF over fiber experts have launched an L-band HTS - Hyper Wide Dynamic Range (HWDR) Series 2 (S2) RF over fiber link that covers 400-2500 MHz and provides as much as 115 dB/Hz2/3 spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR).

The former S1 offered ground-breaking SFDR upon its launch, with that range now being greatly improved upon by the S2. The HWDR links are ideal for full SATCOM transponder applications and defense Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).

A High Sensitivity Receiver (HSR) was also launched, having been designed for high loss environments (e.g., with many splices/interconnects or low quality fiber infrastructure). The HSR reduces the need for EDFAs.

Really bolstering the number of new products being launched, two 10 MHz RF Splitters and an L-band 10 MHz Diplexer have also debuted.

Richard Jacklin, ViaLite Director of Sales, commented that there is a great deal of interest in the launch of these new products that give users greater access to better quality SIGINT and High Throughput Satellite communications. The ViaLite team looks forward to showcasing these new products at CommunicAsia later in this year, where the HSR is expected to “truly come into its own” as a solution for southeastern Asia teleports that are facing challenges due to typically higher fiber losses and a greater number of interconnects.
