The Satellite Industry Association Welcomes a New Member, Kaman Precision Products, into the New Year


Kaman KD-5100 Differential Measurement System

The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) announces a new member, Kaman Precision Products (Kaman), a division of Kaman Aerospace Corporation. Kaman designs and produces high-performance, precision non-contact position measuring systems including high precision sensors used by the satellite industry. 

The Company’s KD-5100+ differential measurement system, designed for night vision systems, precision telescope positioning, fast steering mirrors (FSM) for space-based and airborne applications, and image stabilization systems provides resolution to a nanometer of positional change. 

Tom Stroup, President of the SIA welcomed Kaman, saying they are pleased to welcome Kaman Precision Products to the Satellite Industry Association. Kaman’s expertise in providing precision sensors and instruments for the commercial satellite industry make them a great addition to SIA and they look forward to working with them as their newest affiliate member.

Mario Mazzotta, Director of Business Development - Kaman Precision Products responded saying that theys we continue to work with many key players in the satellite industry, joining the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) will allow Kaman Precision Products to keep pace with the ever evolving market and forge strong partnerships with leading satellite manufacturers and service providers. They look forward to this collaboration as they work together to enhance current product offerings and innovate new products for the success of this growing industry.
 
Affiliate membership in SIA is open to satellite companies as well as supporting entities that advocate and promote the domestic commercial satellite industry.
