MTNGS — DISA Deployment

The U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) awarded MTN Government Services a contract worth more than $50 million to provide global broadband satellite services for five years. Under the firm, fixed-price, five-year contract, MTNGS will supply global C- and Ku-band satellite bandwidth to support the mission requirements for a key agency within DISA.

The initial six-month award is for $6.5 million. The contract includes five options, which when exercised, will bring the total contract value to over $50 million. The global satellite enterprise system for DISA will be comprised of a geospatially diversified satellite infrastructure and geographically diversified ground entry points, providing continuous non-preemptable bandwidth with 24/7/365 availability to support broadband voice and data communications through transportable, tactical, very small aperture terminals (VSAT). MTNGS provides "Always On - Always Available" worldwide connectivity solutions to a significant number of government entities today, including the Department of Defense, Military Sealift Command, US Coast Guard, US Navy, US Army and other agencies.
