A New KRYTAR Broadband Direction Coupler Debuts

[SatNews] KRYTAR, Inc. continues to expand their growing line of directional couplers with a new model that offers 6 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 2.0 to 20.0 GHz, in a single, compact and lightweight package, the Model 102020006.

This new coupler is uniquely designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. KRYTAR couplers offer solutions for many applications including SATCOM, electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and EMC testing environments. For many space-restricted applications the compact size makes KRYTAR directional couplers ideal solutions.

The Model 102020006, offers superior performance ratings including Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 6 dB, ±1.0 dB, and Frequency Sensitivity of ±0.35 dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 1.9 dB, Directivity of greater than 16 dB, Maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.35, Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The directional coupler comes with industry-standard 2.4-mm SMA female connectors. The compact package measures 2.08 inches (L) x 0.69 inches (W) x 0.53 inches (H), and weigh just 1.7 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. This new directional coupler can also be manufactured to meet ridged military specifications.
