MVS USA Has A Handle On Olympic Satellite Coverage For Broadcasters

Having been certified as a Inmarsat Global Xpress (GX) reseller in May of last year, MVS USA is now able to offer GX to broadcasters who intend to cover the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, starting on August 5th.

The company has been conducting business in Brazil for nearly a decade and offers a variety of land, sea and air L-band solutions. MVS enabled coverage of the nation's elections as well as Brazilian military communication needs and more.

MVS has been operating in Brazil for almost a decade, offering a range of L-band solutions for land, sea and air, covering elections, the Brazilian military and more. The company became a certified GX reseller in May 2015 adding higher bandwidth Ka-band services to its portfolio. The firm is the first distribution partner to be awarded a license to offer Inmarsat’s new Ka-band network in Brazil and offers media organizations access to the newest, weather resistant, high bandwidth service for primary and redundant connectivity throughout the country—all ensures delivery of broadcast.

With the addition of GX and the company’s long established footprint in the market, MVS is primed to source and sell voice and data satellite communications solutions to a wide range of industries, including media, oil and gas and maritime, both during and long after the Olympics have concluded.

According to Deborah Deffaa, the CEO of MVS USA, the company has a long history and a deep heritage operating in Brazil and can offer a satellite solution for Olympics coverage to broadcasters as part of their communications portfolio, adding that Brazil is an ideal market for SATCOM, given the country's unique geographic landscape, potential for extreme weather and large swaths of the country where there is simply no terrestrial option.
