[SatNews] ORBIT Communication Systems has won a large contract to supply a satellite communication solution for Airborne platforms to a major defense organization in eastern Asia.

Given the long-term nature of the project, this initial contract has the potential for additional follow-on orders. The Asian defense organization is a longstanding ORBIT customer and has been using the company's Tracking and Telemetry solutions for many years. Recently, ORBIT was informed that the company had been selected by the same organization to provide maritime UAS command and control antennas for installation on an operational ship.

According to Ofer Greenberger, ORBIT's CEO, "This deal strengthens ORBIT’s position as a leading provider of airborne connectivity solutions for strategic projects.”
