ITS Electronics + General Dynamics... A Moving Relationship (MILSATCOM)

[SatNews] ITS Electronics Inc. has been selected by General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies to supply Ka-band Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) with integrated Block Up Converters (BUCs) for the company's SATCOM-on-the-Move(tm) (SOTM(tm)) terminals.

As a member of the ITS Cool BUC™ family, these products are designed to meet ARSTRAT requirements and deliver high linear performance within stringent size and weight specifications, high power efficiency and unmatched phase noise in demanding "on-the-move" environments. SATCOM Technologies' SOTM terminals offer robust, secure and nonsecure video, voice and data wideband satellite communications from vehicles in motion over rugged terrain. The terminals are field-proven in demanding off-road, combat operational conditions and will be deployed in theaters of operation worldwide. The product currently being delivered to SATCOM Technologies is a 16-Watt Ka-band SSPA with integrated BUC, which is the core technology in the ITS family.
