Fujitsu Frontech — From MPEG-2 To AVC With New Encoder (SatBroadcasting)

Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. has announced the IP-9400, a new MPEG-4 encoder that reduces operational costs significantly as broadcasters convert from MPEG-2 to AVC encoding in their HD and SD microwave, satellite, and IP digital news gathering systems. The payback for the economy-priced IP-9400 is extremely short, helping broadcasters increase workflow efficiency while ensuring superior HD and SD content fidelity with the added benefit of low latency, essential to remote live feeds.

The IP-9400 is an economically priced 4:2:0 AVC encoder with optional built in DVB-S/S2 modulator, specifically targeted at the efficient conversion from MPEG-2 to AVC encoding in microwave, satellite and IP digital news gathering systems. The new solution uses advanced Fujitsu technology innovation to support customers, significantly reducing operational cost, increasing workflow efficiency and improving the fidelity of content contribution and distribution.
