iDirect Gets Direct With Uplogix + With SQUARE InformatiX For Services + Product

UPLOGIX SRM webpage VT iDirect, Inc. (iDirect), a company of VT Systems Inc (VT Systems), now has an agreement with Uplogix, a leading provider of secure remote management (SRM) solutions, to resell the Uplogix product suite.

The agreement provides a new option for iDirect customers to resolve onsite technical issues that may compromise their networks. iDirect will market the Uplogix SRM devices in the maritime, cellular backhaul, and oil and gas industries, where telecommunications equipment often resides in extremely remote locations and can be difficult and costly to manage. Uplogix SRM devices can be co-located with iDirect satellite routers, antennas, and terrestrial networking equipment such as switches, firewalls, servers and other routers, enabling remote monitoring and control of satellite and terrestrial-based network equipment. Uplogix devices automate routine onsite administration, maintenance and recovery tasks, and provide centralized IT experts local access to all devices to perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting within seconds of an incident, and before it affects the end-user.

Based on the DVB-S2 standard with Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM), the iDirect platform will replace SQUARE’s existing satellite system to maximize bandwidth capacity with nexgen performance. With an Evolution network in place, SQUARE plans to migrate its existing customer base of financial institutions and other organizations to an enhanced iDirect network that will deliver data throughput improvements of up to 60 percent over existing services.
