PolarSat Inc., a leader in full mesh VSAT communication equipment, announced it has shipped VSATPlus 3 networking equipment to a major oil and gas company. This shipment completes six months of live customer testing of the VSATPlus 3 system.

The VSATPlus 3 demonstrated hub-less full mesh connectivity of corporate traffic including; Voice over IP, Video teleconferencing, Data file transfers, Internet/Intranet and email. The VSATPlus 3 will address the growing IP-centric market area. The existing VSATPlus II product will continue to address high-end applications which require circuit-switched applications. VSATPlus 3 salient features include hubless operation of mesh connectivity, Turbo Coding, integrated IP protocol enhancements, and Bandwidth-on-Demand functionality. The VSATPlus 3 builds upon PolarSat’s 25+ years of satellite modem experience to continue to provide a robust and reliable MF-TDMA, full mesh, hubless product.
