The Deed Is Done — Launch Delay For EchoStar-21

Appears as though EchoStar-21 won't be seeing stars for a while... the launch date of August 29th has now been pushed out to October 10th.

A commission within the Russian state space corporation, Roscosmos, moved the date of the launch via a Proton-M booster, with no official reason for the new delay offered by the report in the online news infosite of TASS.

EchoStar-21, manufactured by Space Systems/Loral, was known previously as EchoStar T2 and EchoStar 2 and the business end of the satellite was to provide European telecom services once on orbit.

The previous Proton launch occurred on June 9th when Intelsat 31 was moved to orbit.
