BAE Systems in the U.K. has selected Vocality's BASICS IP platform as their core data network router for key elements of the Falcon program. The FALCON tactical communication system will bring secure deployable broadband voice, data and video communications to the British Army and Royal Air Force, providing the core of Network Enabled Capability. Rapidly deployable, FALCON will interoperate with all current U.K. Network Systems and other NATO systems, enabling better information sharing and exploitation, improving military Commanders’ awareness and decision-making, and ultimately enhancing mission success. BAE Systems tested Vocality’s BASICS IP PC104 network router against other small form factor routers and, as a result of this testing, BAE Systems placed an order for more than 500 BASICS IP routers, which are being integrated into the FALCON infrastructure.
