Eagle Broadband Appoints Randy Shapiro as Vice President of Marketing

League City, TX/October 7, 2003/Satnews/   Eagle Broadband (AMEX: EAG) announced today the appointment of Silicon Valley veteran Randy Shapiro, formerly with IBM and Thomson Enterprise Networks, as Vice President of Marketing, effective immediately.

In his new role, Shapiro will report directly to CEO Dave Weisman and will be responsible for all worldwide marketing functions including product marketing, demand creation, corporate communications, channel/partner marketing and supporting Eagle's direct and partner sales teams.

Randy brings more than 19 years of  sales and marketing management experience in telecommunications, networking, security, enterprise software and IT services with both startup and established technology companies.  He holds a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Arizona.
