ViaSat Names Lincoln Biederbeck to Head North American Sales

Norcross, GA./August 5, 2003/Satnews/   ViaSat Inc. (Nasdaq VSAT) ) has named Lincoln Biederbeck as  Director of North American VSAT Networks sales. Mr. Biederbeck joins ViaSat  after three years as a sales director for Spacenet Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. In his new position he will be responsible for identifying new enterprise customers and focusing on ViaSat's North American VSAT network sales initiatives.

"We are very excited to have Lincoln on board.  He comes to us with an exceptional track record of building strong customer relationships and sales  volumes with Fortune 500 companies in North America," said Chris Leber, vice president and general manager of VSAT Networks at ViaSat. "He has a diverse technical background and expertise in both business and management."

 His successful record in the satellite communications market stretches back to 1989 with what was then AT&T Tridom. In addition, he has experience in  affiliated markets with Media4 (now Echostar Data Networks) and One Touch Systems.  Mr. Biederbeck is a resident of Atlanta and will remain in the area, working  from ViaSat's location in Norcross, GA.
