William C. Pratt Joins the Team at Sirius as New Chief Information Officer

New York/June 19, 2003/Satnews Daily/ Satellite radio provider Sirius has appointed William C. Pratt as Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Pratt joins Sirius with over 20 years of experience in Information Technology (IT), having served with a number of prominent global companies such as McGraw-Hill and AT&T. He will begin his new assignment on June 23, and report directly to Joseph P. Clayton, President and CEO.

Prior to joining Sirius, Pratt served as Senior Vice President and CIO for McGraw-Hill Education, a $2.4 billion global leader in education material and professional information. At McGraw-Hill Pratt supervised a staff of 300 employees, where he initiated advanced order management, cost-reducing supply chain capabilities, and eBusiness systems.

At PR Newswire, a global news and information distribution company, Pratt served as Senior Vice President of Global Technology and Chief Information Officer, where he managed at staff of 100 professionals and served on the board of directors.

In addition to senior management positions at McGraw-Hill and PR Newswire, Pratt also held management positions at Bantam Doubleday Dell Publishing Group, Simon & Schuster, AT&T, and Arthur Andersen. Pratt received his bachelor's degree from Drew University and his MBA from the Rutgers University School of Management.
