Hell be working to expand business for the company in Japan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. Later this year, he plans additional business forays into Singapore and Malaysia. Hell also be responsible for building relationships with Genesis satellite partners for those who need pointtomultipoint or last mile access. Doug started his career in the satellite communications field with IDB Communications, held senior level positions with Keystone, GlobeCast and Intelsat, and was the founder and president of Zap Media Advisors. He became the CEO of GlobeCast Asi, a vice president at Intelsat, and the vice president of sales and marketing for End II End Communications.
New York, New York The financial results for three and six months ended June 30, 2007, have been reported by Loral Space & Communications. Total consolidated revenue for Q2 of 2007 rose 17 percent to $226 million. Thats up from $193 million for the same period last year. Then, for the first half of 2007, the revenue totaled $447 million, that being a 22 percent increase over the $365 million reported for the first six months of 2006. In other news, the joint venture company formed by Loral and their Canadian partner, PSP Investments, entered into a definitive agreement with BCE Inc. to acquire 100 percent of the stock of Telesat Canada from BCE for CAD 3.25 billion. The transaction is expected to close during Q3 with regulatory approval to occur shortly. Paris, France Vizada, formerly known as France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications (FTMSC), has just launched a new website to mirror the new brand that was launched last June. The website offers updated and streamlined information and also centralizes access to the companys range of messaging and traffic management services. Apax Partners acquired the brand from France Telecom Group and rebranded the products under the Vizada name. Vizada is a provider of mobile satellite communications products.
