DataPath will be partnering with Applied Global Technologies (AGT) as the communication networks enable federal, state and military first responders to establish full command and control capabilities at the site of any disaster, within hours, anywhere in the United States. A total of 32 systems will be delivered for nationwide deployment, all based on the DataPath ET2000 Portable. This is a rugged, flyaway SATCOM terminal with proven performance through years of use on the battlefield and in disaster response situations. The customized version incorporates a 1.2meter flyaway antenna developed by AvL Technologies. Their partner, AGT, will provide the integrated land mobile radio solution and video teleconferencing systems for this program.
DataPath satellite communications base units will be used to deliver high bandwidth to voiceoverIP (VOIP) telephones, video teleconferencing systems as well as an interoperable handheld radio solution for deployed National Guard teams and other first responders. For extremely rapid deployment, a complete communications suite will be transportable by C130 aircraft and other delivery vehicles.
