AsiaSat and Indiasign to Jointly Launch MCPC Platform on AsiaSat-2

HONG KONG, June 28, 2007 - Satnews Daily - Asian satellite operator, Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company, Ltd (AsiaSat) and Indiasign Pvt, Ltd, Indian broadcast services provider and systems integrator, have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly launch a C-band MCPC (Multiple Channels per Carrier) platform on AsiaSat-2. The satellite’s pan Asian coverage beam offers premier broadcasters one-stop transmission solutions to distribute television and radio services to cable and satellite networks, terrestrial stations, hotels and individual home viewers across Asia and Australasia.

This new MCPC platform on AsiaSat-2 will be operated by Indiasign’s teleport in New Delhi where it will provide uplink and distribution services to Indian broadcasters through AsiaSat’s C-band transponder capacity on AsiaSat-2.

Indiasign, an ISO 9001:2000 company, is a broadcast service provider and systems integrator that operates a teleport in Gurgoan, and a fleet of 15 DSNG vans to provide video contribution services to broadcasters in India.
