Comtech Receives $1.8 Million for Mobile Satellite Transceivers
MELVILLE, NY, April 5, 2007 - Satnews Daily - Comtech Telecommunications Corporation (Nasdaq: CMTL - News) said its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $1.8 million for its Mobile Aviation and Ground Satellite Data Communications Transceivers and related products.
The orders are for the supply of Comtech's Model 2011 mobile satellite data transceivers and related products. The transceivers are integral to the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) - Blue Force Tracking Aviation (BFT-AVN) program. BFT-AVN relies on the Model 2011 satellite transceiver to provide real time position reporting, air traffic avoidance, and sharing of situational awareness information over extended mission distances.
