ViaSat and End II End Complete Interoperability Tests
CHARLOTTE, NC, March 21, 2007 - Satnews Daily - End II End Communications said that ViaSat, Inc. has completed testing and has certified its Optimal technology for interoperability with ViaSat products including Linkstar, Linkway, Skylinx and Starwire.
These VSAT systems are in operation today in tens of thousands of enterprise and government networks, said ViaSat. Loay Oweis, principal applications engineer for ViaSat VSAT Networks, said the addition of OptimalHub and OptimalEdge software boosted the performance of highly interactive applications at the heart of today's networked organization.
"The End II End technology significantly enhanced Citrix and MS Exchange performance over the ViaSat LinkStar platform," Oweis reported. "Overall I was impressed by End II End’s Optimal Product, Optimization Technology and their knowledge of enterprise application. I was able to utilize both Citrix and MS Exchange using VSAT with a very similar experience to non-satellite remote access WAN experience with a good end user experience."
Oweis' team conducted its tests at End II End's Optimization Lab in Charlotte, which the company opens to customers and technology partners to test their applications with Optimal products across a range of broadband environments. "The End II End Optimization Lab enabled us to test enterprise applications on the LinkStar network in an easy and non-intrusive real world environment," Oweis added.
