Intelsat Selling Maryland Teleport

 

WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 30, 2007/Satnews Daily/ — As a result of the consolidation of operations following the 2006 acquisition of PanAmSat by Intelsat, Intelsat has announced the upcoming sale of its Silver Spring, Md. Teleport.  

 

Intelsat said the complete transaction will include the assignment of the land and adjacent warehouse-office leases, plus the sale of all the Silver Spring teleport assets.  These assets include six antennas ranging in size from $3.8 million to $10 million. 

 

Intelsat is now soliciting offers from industry early in February and to closing with a single party on the sale during the second quarter of 2007.
